well, checked my pulsation damper on the w/end - bone dry. The purge control valve however is cracked and broken. Want to replace it. Have tried to source this item in Australia but no-one seems to know what it is. Does anyone know a website where i could buy one over the net?

 

It is the same as the PVC (Positive Vapor Crankcase) valve on other cars. It vents the oil vapor pressure into the intake.

Any online Mazda OEM parts sellers should have it like Mazdatrix or mazdaformace. Shipping to Aus, is another thing though... you would want to contact them to see if they do ship to down under.

 

Surely Mazda Australia can source this. They sold them new so they should have all the parts catalogues.

You could always try a wrecker too.
