Purchasing another Transmission, need info
I am going to purchase another Transmission however this particular unit has been reworked, new gears, new bearings ect..ect.. It's also from a different series.
My current Transmission is on it's last leg, Countershaft bearing has begun to make a terrible noise and i can hear it in every gear during accel or decel.
My question about this transmission and maybe someone can give some info...
The transmission is definatly earlier than 86' I've been told that first, second and third gears are shorter but "faster"? (IE: Sprint gears?) than the average S4 N/A transmission.
I've seen the unit and it's very clean. Managed to peek at it at the shop while still being assembled. Does anything of this sound like a good deal for $500? Brand-new. I sure hope so..
Thanks for the input.

On a side note. Any idea if i'm going to have reliability problems with another N/A transmission? Albeit has 0 miles on it, will i have problems with the slighgtly upgraded amount of HP that i've got?
THanks again.
