Pulling an engine, have a question

How and what is the best way to pull the two motor mounts, the driver side looks easy enough to get to but passenger not so much.

Car is a 90 NA car.

Also anyone ever pull of the power steering pump and put an alt in its place?

The motor mounts are probably the easiest part of the whole thing. Just undo the nuts from underneath the car and the whole cup and rubber mount will lift out when you pull the motor.

If you're not pulling the trans with the motor be sure it's supported.

Got the mounts easy, almost to simple.

Next question, do I need to pull the upper intake to get the engine harness out?

You don't have to. You can disconnect it behind the dashboard (at the ECU?) and feed it through the firewall.

Lift the passenger side carpet(remove the Scuff plate, kick panel plastic,Pull carpet up) and remove the Protective floor plate. The ECU is under that.(floor area under the passenger dash,on the slope of the floor)
You can disconnect the Wiring harness at the ECU and there is another small sensor on the passenger side Kick panel too.
Then after the Wiring Inside is disconnected, you can go to the engine bay, press Down on the Edge of that BIG rubber grommet and pull the wiring harness right out of the Firewall.
..there..You are DONE!.Engine and harness will come out as one..that is if you have everything in the engine bay.(like the AFM,Maf,and resistor pack, etc) disconnected that attached to the harness..
