www.corksport.com should have unorthodox
www.racingbeat.com has them you just have to look hard.

The unorthodox ones require switching to serpentine don't they?

Anyways, I'm running the Racing Beat main underdrive pulley and the hIGGI rotor shaped dual alternator pulley for FD alts in FC's and I love them both. The hIGGI one isn't underdriven, though, only RB.

Also, the Racing Beat ones are under the "cooling system" section IIRC.

And there are a couple more companies that make pulleys, just search.

I want the rotor shaped alternator, is there any that is under driven? Also I have no airpump, so do i need a dual alterntor pulley? Are the fc and fd alternator pulleys interchangable?

FC alternator has a smaller shaft than the FD.

There are no underdrive Rotor shaped pulleys that I know of on the market.

It is recommended that you use dual belt pullies when you remove the air pump because there is less gripping force on the water pump pulley and it causes slippage hurting cooling system performance.

If you want to engineer and build your own alternator pulley with rotor shape and underdriven you can, but other than that I don't know anyone that makes it yet.

You don't need a dual alt pulley if you have no airpump, you CAN use a "yoohoo" belt. Search for it.

The FD uses surpentine belts, FC doesn't, they are not interchangeable in stock form. If you switch to surpentine setup (expensive) you can put in the FD alternator with stock pulley on it no problem.

take note to what dDub said

If you get an FD alt you need a pulley shafter for an FD shaft and belted for an FC(v-belts not serpentine)

For a dual belt pulley/alternator kit contact Silverrotor(Tony) He's a great guy and sells kits for a decent price.

a little interjection...i believe the serpentine kits use 6 rib belt pullies, and the stock FD use 5 rib belt pullies...not that important, just that you'd have to use the 5 rib to match the stock FD pulley. btw, the stock FD pulley does look like it is slightly smaller than the pulley that comes with an FC serpentine kit. this is in relation to the serpentine pullies that Atkins sells.

Ok so does silver-rotors fd alternators require a fc or fd pulley?

They come with a dual pulley that is already for an FC. Its got the right shaft size for the FD alt and it is a V-belt type. So basically all you do is solder two wires(for S4 guys) or plug it in and tighten the tentioner bolts!

Its a snap i tell ya!

So that would mean that the after markets under drive belts wouldnt work since the fc wouldnt fit and the fd is the wrong type. right?

The aftermarket FC alternator underdrive pulleys do not fit the FD alt unless they are modified. Besides, why would you underdrive the FD alternator? The point of the FD alternator is to get a more powerful one, and then you'd want to turn around and underdrive it?

You make a point, so if i get a RB underdriven main pulley wouldnt I already be underdriving it?

Yes, but not as much as you would with an alternator underdrive pulley too.

I run the FD alt and main RB underdrive pulley and charging is still perfectly fine.

Do you feel any difference using the underdriven pulleys on your car?

Didn't *feel* anything. You'll never feel a small increase, it takes like 10+ hp increase to actually notice a difference when driving.

I laugh on how they all say like +30hp then.. Not that I was even expecting 5 btw.

For looks I was wondering if it was possible to convert to one of those nice assed cogged serpentine pullys, like with the belts an inch to an inch and a half thick, that would be badass, like on the 20B engine..
