pulley question?

pulley question?

ok so i bought the underdrive pulley. but i'm a little scared about that bearing bull. i dont wanna do it and mess it up. so if i put a 2x4 on the clutch will i have no problems what so ever. cause i have no money and cant afford to get a shop to put it on. anyone have an comments about their own install of it.

i believe that you are right. double check on the Mazdatrix website b/c they got a write up on it. that kinda scares me too

Have you seen http://www.mazdatrix.com/faq/pulley.htm? I know of one guy who used the 2x4 method, and he didn't have any problems. The hardest part is usually getting the bolt out. You can see his how-to at http://home.earthlink.net/~burntoast/powerpulley.html .
