Well, my transmission is stuck in reverse (as some of you may already know) so I pulled it out today. It took me about 3 and a half hours to do (ive never do this before ) I was hoping I could somehow fix the transmission without having to buy a complete new (used) one.

Notice how the hole where the shifter is supposed to go into, is stuck in reverse (coincidence my car is backed into the driveway? No.) It will not move, if anybody has an y comments on this or ides to fix, feel free to share... im going to take the tranny apart acording to the FSM any way:

Could this be why my transmission is stuck in reverse?

 

no thats knocked in so the nut doesnt back off.

 

two questions:

what exhaust is that, and

what digital camera is that?

 

yup,, its just peened its normal

but your throw out bearing looks trashed.

the idler gear inside the tranny might be tweaked. that might be why your stuck in reverse
