so im drivng home the other day and all of a sudden....bbrrrraaaaAAAAAAAANANANANANANNAAA. Holy $hit! my car is redlining when i not on the gas. i pull off on the side streets to limp it home and it does it again right infront of a cop! he contemplates pulling me over but doesnt see my rear tires smokin. got it home my throttle is sticking. should i replace the whole thing or should i juist try to clean it up to make it not stick.

if you can get it to stop sticking, you should be alright. otherwise, you would need a new one.

Just get a new throttle cable. They fray after years of usage.
