Piping is custom, and welded up by me.. bents are mandrel..
Power band seems is 4500-7800.. Pulls nicely till about 8200 but power seems to peak right around 7800.. stock port S5 enegine.
There is a definet differnece over stock..
The only cons I could think is price.. You might add 15 more lbs with the extra persilncer and piping.. but the wider powerband is diffently worth it.. If your going strait pipe.. not going to much of a weight differnce. I would diffently go with true duals.
I been in a few cars with collected system.. power diffently doesn't seem to match to mine.. and seems to fall flat on its face by 7k.

Its been said before(last week and the week before, etc......) that the only way to see which exhaust setup will work for "your" engine is to test the three basic types on a chassis dyno. Short primary, Long primary and true dual. Just remember what works good on one persons car might not be right for you.

I dont see why you would need back pressure on a rotary? The only reason you need it on pistons is to hold the gas mix when both the valves are open so that it doesn't wash into the exhaust. Rotay's dont have this problem as far as I can see. Am I wrong?
I was running with just the header and a pipe directing the fumes down, and there was a noticable increase in power over having the rest of the exhaust hooked up; but the noise was off the wall, never doing that again...well, maybe once more.

okay but y would you do a mod without doing research on it before then do your tests with your engine, im just asking for results with the true dual setup on a n/a

Also did the TB mod.. which gave a bit more juice right around 2000-4000 and a slightly stronger peak.

I was wanting a true dual setup for a while, but instead I've opted for the following: 2.5" header, straight pipe (replacement for the cat pipe) between header and stock Y-Pipe (2.5" stepped down to whatever diameter the Y-Pipe inlet is) straight back into straight through mufflers. As of now, I have everything but the midpipe. As a side question, what is the Y-Pipe inlet diameter on an S5 N/A?
