pro's & con's of removing fan shroud?

i was pondering abt removing the fan shroud from the radiator? but also leaving the fan clutch in place ... are there any cooling or reverse cooling effects this can have.

its not a good idea. that ugly thing is there for two reasons.

to direct air and to put stickers on it.

if you remove it. you might as well remove the clutch fan and mount an electrical one on the radiator.

Get into stop and go traffic on a hot day and watch your car overheat.

I suppose that's a con.

I have seen people remove it, but they had a Griffin radiator versus the stock one. Without the shroud, the fan cannot pull air through it very efficiently and you stand a very good chance of overheating the car in stopped conditions. Get a blakc magic e-fan and replace the stock clutch fan and shroud and you will have plenty of room and great cooling.
