Properly mounting an E-fan????

I just installed a fluidyne rad in my FC and I was wondering what you guys have used to mount your e-fan to the rad without bending the fins?

Short question, hopefully there is an easy answer.

Thanks!

I made little L shaped brackets that mounted to the side of the e-fan and then bolted to the stock shroud mounts on the rad.

Well, if you don't have the means to fab up some brackets.

Get some super long zip ties. I'm betting there are holes on all 4 corners of the E-fan.

Right at the top of the radiator, there is a very slim area that you can slide the zip-tie thru, without bending any fins. 4 should do well, but you can do as many as you need to feel comfortable.

Get some stick-on insulation, and let the E-fan sit on it. This will both be a "shroud" for air, and also help not damage the radiator..it will also minimize vibration noises.

Just get some Alum. 2", 90*Angle stock at your local home depot, drill the holes for the fan through bolts, and drill the holes to match the stock shroud holes (on the sides of the rad) and you should be able to mount it right up.

Just remember, that equally as important as the CFM of the fan, is the shrouding. You have to make sure that the fan is actually pulling air through the radiator, for maximum cooling to take place.

Good luck.
