project 88 se

well the 88 se i got a couple weeks ago is starting to get there. last week removed all the wiring hasrnesses from the car cleaned them up, solderd any nessisary connections, and what not. the car also came w/ little to no interior and what it did come with still remains in a large box that im resisting trowing out lol but any way so while i had the whole interior is gutted i figured i will id redo everything from carpet to interior pieces b/c the car had blu interior, ewww and i plan to make a show car out of it. so i embarked on the mission and got prices for almost evey thing my parts guy now hates me lol. carpet and insulation for dealer $1000+ no ******* way would i take that route. so i spent countless hours searching to find a cheaper but better alternative. i found alot of u guys were removing the stock deadener and were replacing it with aftermarket insulation products. so i found this website with the help of another forum memeber. http://www.secondskinaudio.com/index.php
here i found exactly what i needed i orderd 120sq ft of damplifier, 9sqft of luxury liner, 9sq ft of overkill, and 9sq ft of heatwave. so i recieved it the other day and finaly got a chance to install all of it. i had prepped the floor pans and hatcharea last week for the **** it was a pain in the *** but worth it. so i just went to it. first, i layed the damplifier every where but the roof and doors, still have enough damplifier to do them next week. then i layed the overkill on top of the damplifier using 3m super spray adhesive i stuck it to where the bins sit, and where the drivers and pasengers *** and legs go, then i layed the heatwave (good stuff) from the fire wall and all the way down the transmission tunnles top and sides then i layed down the luxuryliner witce is a really nice mat material over the overkill for the driver and passanger *** and leg and used this really good insulated aluminum tape my father gave me that is used for ducting to hold down everything w/ the 3m stuff. i felt comfortable leaving the back hatch areas just covered w/ just the damplifier b/c im using the stock hatch carpet and insulation covered in black leather and stiched together. the front however i was just going to lay some new nice black carpet my mother could get me for free, but found that after market places make a molded carpet for our car thats realtivly cheap so i am gonna opt for that, i still have to order it though. then once i get the carpet i can put in the blk dash i have for it. the only thing left interior wise for me to do is to dye my grey s4 panels black b/c s4 models dont come in black. the engin bay(front end) is completely gutted not even the fenders bumper and lights are on the car. i have started prepping the front end and engine bay for a nice thick gloss black paint job. i am a im the progress of ordering corksport 30mm wide body fenders, so that i can put my sleek light bumper on and start fitting it along with the rest of the kit so i can get the body panited a nice pearl white. also have a apexi pfc and commander on its way from japan so i can get this thing properly tuned. my monster ported turbo motor. right now im running the bnr stg 4 on it with the rtek but i got rid of the rtek so i am thinking about puttin the turbo on my DD 91 tII and get a gt40r for the se. oh yeah i still have to swap the diff and 5 lug hubs and calipers off my other car. thats about it for now il keep u guys posted. btw its nice to have a car that i dont have to drive and another just for parts lol
