It seems like I saw someone ask this very same question a couple of months ago...I did a couple of searches and could find a thing.

Is there a way to figure out the month and maybe even the day an FC rolled off of the production line?

 

look at the stickers on the drivers door jam. it only tells the month.

 

you can find the day if you carfax it, i believe....i remember because i was the one who originally asked...lol

 

The door jam Fed sticker will have the month the car was made.

my 86 was produced in sept 85 and the number is 106149

 

Yep, carfaxing will get you the exact date. It will show a date and then something along the lines of "Vehicle manufactured and shipped to original dealer".

We can make a game out of this

86 base: 9/11/85, #3917

 

Actually I figured it out, or at least as close as possible.

Carfax shows the date it came off of the assembly line (more or less accurate) maybe a day or two of sitting around.

Mine was 02/07/89

Pretty cool...The month and year is in the door jam...I didn't even think about that when I posted the thread.

Carfax shows that my car actually sat at the dealer for almost a year before being purchased and titled for the first time!
