problems twisted boot on axle

problems twisted boot on axle

ok now i just had the drivers side axle replaced because the guy i bought the car from had hit a curb so i had it replaced put about 20miles on the car the today as i back up the damn car didnt move pushed it in the driveway and heard a clicking the damn axle boot is all twisted what the HE** happened

Whoever did the job didn't tighten the clamps properly allowing one side to turn. Have seen it a few times on front cv boots on Jeeps, as they are difficult to secure unless a factory boot is used, and installed when the axle is out.

ok so do i just release the boot and put the axle back in and go or do i need to take the boot off and see what the hell happened lol

To me it sounds like something went wrong inside the axle, if you car doesn't move

well i just jacked the car up the boot isnt broke just twisted all up i am going to remove the clamp and see whats up
