Angry Problems with newly installed clutch

I just paid friggin $1200 CDN to replace my stupid clutch and a diff seal.

I need to know why the hell my car is making weird sounds now.

At idle, with the clutch released, I hear a bad sound like grinding around my transmission (only closer to the engine).

My third gear is now making whining noises.

These were NOT like this when I brought him the car to do work WTF??!?!?!?!?

The haynes manual says possible "damaged clutch release bearing" which was just replaced with a new one...WTF?!?!?!?

There is a REALLY bad sound like grinding in fourth gear, and a lesser but still BAD sound like grinding in all gears...WTF!?!?!?

I am going to go talk to the guy tommorow about it and take him for a ride in my car and tell him that it WAS NOT like that when I brought it there, which I know for a fact that it wasn't.

But I need advice...is the clutch supposed to make bad sounds in the transmission and such like that while breaking it in? I don't want to screw anything up to hell...

It sounds like it may be a pilot bearing, it may have been damaged when they were putting your tranny back in.

hmmm

possibly...I brought it to them just a little while ago and got them to take a look at it again (he is my mechanic...not a MAZDA dealership guy...GAWD no).

They drained out some of the oil that they used and replaced it with a synthetic...the sound is a lot lower now but it is still there...also my synco in 3rd isn't whining anymore.

Pilot Bearing you say? hmmm...interesting (I'll have to get RX-7 specialties to check it out in the spring...this car is garageing it after tonight.

possibilties

Just did my clutch a few months back, some of the points to check are:

Did they definitley replace the release bearing?

As mentioned damaged release bearing during install?

Proper alignment of trans to engine, no gaps, every surface
true and tight?

Proper amount of pedal free play (correct positioning of slave cylinder).

IF they warrantee their work, don't wait, take it back until they fix it! Otherwise if the installation did damage something else and you wait, you won't have much recourse except to blame yourself!
