I did a search on dying out and batteries but couldn't find any info please help...

Something weird just happened today, Ok i was driving down the street i then made a turn and it felt like my power steering was goin out I was a few blocks away from my GF's house and then the lights start flickering and my radio goes out. Still I ignored it and continued driving tring to get to my destination. THen it happened my cars just died out. It shut off and i rolled off to the side. I then tried to crank it agian but all i hearis the cranking sound and i see some of my lights turn on but wont start. I called up a friend and waited for like 5-10 mins and i tried it agian. It started so i start driving and once i got to her house it died agian and it didnt start. Whats wrong?? is it my alternator not charging? bad battery?? how can it work after a whle and die agian? PLease help a fellow rx7 guy THANKS
