problems i have with my 87 base n/a

i have a few problems ... actually many lol. first of all, i have an overheating problem. after about ten minutes of driving, coolant steams out through a crack in the water pump near the thermostat housing. it might be also leaking behind it possibly through the front cover? im not sure. wat is the little black sensor that goes into the thermostat housing? cuz i was told it might be bad. im dumping alot of fuel in my combustion chamber too, so much that my plugs are saturated in fuel after i drive. usually after i drive, i need to freaking clean my plugs. also wen i start my car up, i dump out alot of white smoke, but after 10 minutes it clears up... mayb my o2 sensor is bad too? and finally, my cars idle jumps up and down from 1300-1600. and my compression on my motor is good too. any educated guesses on this?? wat shud i buy or fix??

white smoke is normal, but not a **** load. smell the smoke next time. could be rad coolant. if it is....bad news bears.

i would do some research about flooding problems and that will give you some idea's to go on.

Replace you gaskets on your coolant system and have your injectors cleaned and tested. Then you will have a better idea on where to start from

Maybe you need a new waterpump housing too?
