hey guys,

i had problems with my idle in my T2 a while ago but they have seemed to have gotten a lil better. The car idles fine at around 1.5k and is steady even when i stop at a red light or something. But if i have to stop by somewhere and come back to it after its cooled down a lil it starts to have idling problems again ...when i start the car after its cooled down the revs are really really low but they gradually go up to about 800k rpms...i just wanted to know why it does this? Thx in advance.

 

My first guess is your fule injectors need cleand. Have you done the normal tune up? spark plugs and wires, air filter? As well do a check on the TPS thats about all I got to come up with

Dav0, do you WANT your car to idle at 1500, or is that as good as you can get it? Usually the low idle while hot is the result of a misadjusted mechanical idle, but in your case I don't know if that's gonna be it.

How are the vac leaks?

 

i've check briefly for vac leaks and couldnt find any...and i want the car to idle at around 1.2k but yeh i'll check if the injectors are dirty...and abt the BAC valve i havent had a chance to clean that out yet so yeh that could be it as well...SO MUCH STUFF TO CHECK!
