Problem With Sunroof

My sunroof won't open on the one side. It is like it is stuck or something. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or should i leave it to a pro to fix it.

thanks

If you have a good handle on dissasembly and re-assembly, go get a trim/interior panel removal tool ($10) and set out to remove the headliner.

Then, lay towels on your seats and interior and then clen the crap out of the outside and inside of the sunroof.

Remove all the grit.

Then replace the loose worn drive parts that are on the inside.

I beleive there is a belt. (replace it)

Lube the movng parts, and remember that the sunroof rails operate on the premis that the teflon guides are OILLESS (oiling the ouitside rails attract sand and dirt)

you might have to just remove the whol shooting match and replace the teflon rail guides to make it stock.

But once it works, then its a marvelous thing.
Its just not easy.

Work slow, document parts and take pictures if you have to. (Digital cameras are invaluable)

I have part numbers and exploded views, along with all the FSM and other guides online.

PM me if you need access

I just replaced mine. It's most likely from a broken cable which can happen from continuing to hold the button down after it's been shut. Get an assembly from somebody used, which I got for $75. If you'd like instructions PM me.
