problem or not?

when I start my car it rews up to 3.000rpms and then when it warms up it drops bellow 1.000 and it maintains like that. It doesn`t go up nor down.
Is bellow 1.000 rpms bad for the rotaries or not(when in neutral).
thanx

X dealer tech here, thinking 3k rpm mite be a few 100 or so high but the high Rs should be no problem

If I were you I would eliminate AWS (the thing that makes your car go up to 3k upon startup) since high revs like that is especially bad on a cold motor. Mazda had this feature simply to warm up the pre-cat to make it more emissions friendly at the expense of your motor.

that thing really annoys me. what is AWS(where is it located)?
is it pain in the butt to take it off?
