Problem on my FC

i have a 86 fc gxl. when i first got it it turn on just fine.. but now sometimes it keep on flooding and i dont know why.. i havent compression test it yet but ill try soon...i was wondering how do you know if you have an exhaust leak....also how can you tell if you needed a compression test instead of doing the compression test or is it the only way to tell. thanks

For flooding: Your injectors are probably old and leaking and either need to be cleaned or replaced.

yeah its very common for RX-7's to flood. I have a '84 GSL-SE and a '88 GX parked in the back, and they only flood ( like 1 in 4 chances) when i start them and shut them off before fully warms up, you will know when its fully warmed up when the idle has returned to about 1000 rpm.

My blown (running on one rotor) FC had a dead battery yesterday, i tried to start it over but it was turning very slowly, and i had flooded it. So i used my GSL-SE to jump it. I clamped the FC's fuel hose, and started cranking, and it started up in about 4 seconds, turned it off, then i removed the clamp and it started up again and ran fine on one rotor.

i know that fc is very common to flooding but i just wondering about the smell of gas coming from the exhaust and how i could use the snap-on diagnose thing on my fc but i know that i plug it in the right place..i was searching and found out that when you drive the oil pressure should go up to 60 if its true then theres probably something wrong with mine because when i drive it the oil pressure dosent seem to increse but stay the same. thanks
