I recieved a light Flywheel and GD clutch pro multi-plate from HKS. I removed the OEM clutch and pressure plate. I'm about to remove the 2 1/8" nut, but i'm wondering. Once I remove the nut, how do i put it back on. Because the back of the light flywheel only has 6 screw holes. So i'm lost. From what I see either the light flywheel bolts on to the 6 bolt back plate oil seal behind the OEM flywheel and then discard the 2 1/8" nut (because there's no space to bolt it it.), or install a counterwight from an automatic and bolt the light flywheel onto that and then install the big nut. I dont know what to do, someone please help me!

that is because you have to get a counterweight from an automatic model of the same year of your car in order to make it work. and attach. (things they dont tell you)

 

who knew that auto counterweights would be "the" hot item eh????? I wish I had a box of those bitches

 

someone needs to start maching off ones for each year (just ensure you get the weight right!)

 

So i guess that solves that problem. Now I need to take apart my auto engine, take out the auto tranny, auto flywheel and keep the counterweight and back plate and install them on my HKS light flywheel. But now what do I do with the Pilot bearing and Oil seal on the eccentric shaft of my manual engine. Do they stay on the shaft and go with the counterweight or discard them ?

 

The stock rear counterweights & flywheels all fit on the same e-shaft taper.
