Problem with heat

Before anyone tells me to search I will say this now. I have searched threads pertaining to teh heatercore already and did not find what I needed.

Now onto my problem. I recently purchased a white 87 sport with only a few mods, those mods being a CAI and a BlackMagic E-fan. Currently the car is sitting on teh side of the road in VA due to the rain/ice/snow storm that hit mere minutes after purchase.

Now to the issue at hand, besides my need to go back and pick it up. The heatercore is either messed up or has air in it. I say this because it blows ZERO warm air, I heard the vents change and even noticed teh change when i moved teh logicons slider to the hot air position, and it sill blows near icy air. Now this would be no problem here in TN as it rarely snows, let alone rains ice cubes, btw thank you virginia for teh frozen windows and thank you as well for the guardrail that prevented major damage, incurred minor damage from losing control(replacing teh fender and seekign body work for teh rear left panel.)

I would like to know the possible source of this problem so I may fix it when I do get it home, as I got the parts car home no problem, well i lost the glass sunroof 40 miles from teh house, and will be using it as a donor car(which means if you need parts lemme know and ill see what i can do)

Many thanks in advance to whomever helps or adds there wisdom and/or $.02

well you might not be circulating coolant through your heater core so take a hose and stick it to the inlet to the heater core(on the fire wall) and let it run untill you get coolent coming out the other hose..but if that dont work umm it might be a bad core.. there is my 2 cents..

Thanks for the reply and the best guesstimate. That does sound like a good plan, I had taken a full bottle of coolant with me for teh just in case but ill have to take a knife and some new hose for the newness.

when you move the temp slider back and forth do you hear the air mix motor moving???

If you don't, it could be a bad/Blown up Logicon, or air mix motor.

I have rebuilt Logicons in my webstore.

If the air mix motor is moving, and you are still not getting heat, chances are it is a bad heater core or valve.
