Problem

I dont know if this problem is specific to 2nd gens, but here goes.
When I go to start my car, my ignition goes to acc, but doesnt continue to start sometimes. And I know theres some smart @$$ people out there so let me answer those questions: Yes Im pushing in the key when I turn, yes the clutch is in, yes the car is in neutral. is it possible the clutch is sticking?

Not real clear...

There are 4 positions of the igntion switch, Off, ACC, ON and Start.

So as you are describing the Key only turns to the ACC position and not onto the ON or Start Positions??? If so, try wiggling the steering wheel with the key in the ACC position as the steering wheel lock is probably activated.

The clutch has nothing to do with the key in the ignition switch. The only thing the clutch would do, is prevent the starter from cranking (but not the key from turning) if the clutch was not in on a 87 and later model.
