Problem

ok my engine has been out of the car for some time now and Im getting it ready for a swap.... So today I go outside and im like fukit let me fix my window.... Ok so I connect a battery and then....nothing. nothing happens.... and I check the breakers and nothing... I have no radio right now, or the idiot lights, but im 100% sure there was nothing on.... Does anyone know what it might be??? I connected the ground 2 ways... one with the original cable and the other to the chasis and nothing... Im fukin tired of this car and just want this **** to work normall.... Any ideas??? I removed a bunch of **** to clean the engine bay.. O wait just to make sure is the black/yellow wire neg???

blck & yellow is negative. Check your 80amp fuse.

checked the fuse and yes the battery is brandnew.... dunno what else it could be...

is there a short somewhere? maybe down at the starter the wires fell and were crossed?

Where does the possitive wire go to?? I just dont feel like cuttin all the wrapping and **** just to find out where it runs to.... I need to know the possitive and the neg..... Itll give me a good chance to replace the wires but not right now....

Positive cable from the battery runs to 3 places, the starter (big lug), the alternator, and the engine bay fuse block...

Neg runs to a chassis ground on the left strut tower (hidden beneath all the tape), and on to the end terminal at the upper starter bolt (unless the terminal has previously been moved during a clutch change,etc...)

thats prolly why that **** didnt turn on.. I removed some bolt that held the battery wires to the strut by the steering rack to clean everything and the starter is off... imma check it out now.....

yeh, that bolt IS the ground! While you're there, clean up the area down to bare metal under the terminal that's bolted down, and you'll get a much better ground than that bolt threads/nutplate combo...

found out what happend.... I never connected the small possitive wire to the terminal.... I only connected the large one.... I thought that the small one was only for the starter and since I had the engine out I didnt even use it.... Thanks for all your help... I thought that it was a way bigger problem....
