Price opinions please!
Dealership Quality Mazda RX7 Convertible
I am thinking of selling my Mazda RX7 convertible and I want to see if there is anyone interested out there. This is a rare combination that took me a long time to find: Red exterior, black leather interior, manual transmission.
Details:
+ 1990 MANUAL
+ Shiny red paint w/ no fading; everyone thinks this car is brand new
+ Black leather interior with no rips; seats are in great condition, bolsters are still strong.
+ All speakers work, including seat headrest speakers
+ Black dashboard has no fading or chips/cracks
+ No cracks/chips in windows. Window in convertible top is glass too! (not plastic like you sometime's see).
+ 152,000 original miles and runs full compression
+ Passed emissions test on the 1st try after winter storage!
+ Matching BBS wheels
+ All ORIGINAL records from when car was first purchased in 1991 -- booklets, manuals, etc. Records are well-maintained.
+ Partial-transmission rebuild when I purchased (transmission bearings)
+ New clutch master cylinder
+ New starter
+ Replaced oil bearings
+ No rust; Always garage stored from EVERY SINGLE owner!
+ All lights work
+ Mostly freeway miles; hardly put any miles on since purchase since it was used for Summer roadtrips.
+ Extra parts: convertible top brush, cloth car cover, and a black leather convertible top cover when you want to cover the back when the top is down.
+ Black convertible top is generally in top condition; there are 1-2 small scratches, but the top has no fading.
+ I am sure there is more!!
There are a few finicky things expected with a car that is 18 years old: one of the wiper settings does not work, the windowshield sprayer needs to be fixed and the convertible top takes a minute to go up and down, but always works.
Disclosure: I was unfortunately rear ended on I-5 a few years ago. The rear bumber was the only part that needed replacing. It was thoroughly inspected after the stop-and-go accident (Seneca exit is always stop and go!) and repaired by a top-rated body shop in Kent. This may come up on Carfax so I wanted to let you know the details ahead of time.
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL, COMPLETE CAR THAT HAS BEEN VERY WELL-MAINTAINED BY ALL OWNERS. A great opportunity to own a great piece of Rotary history.
If you're interested please drop me a line. Again, I am just testing the market to see who is out there. I might sell, not sure yet.
Thank you!

i bought my red/black s5 vert for $2200 with a carbon fiber hood, no tears in the top, aftermarket cd/mp3 player, ss brake lines, bbs wheels...about the same amount of miles. its hard to say what the car is worth without seeing pics but $2000-$3000 sounds about right.
