Exclamation Pretty specifc engine swap

This is kinda unique and there are posts that relate to both in a way but I'd like to hear from ya'll enjun xpurts aboot this one!

I have in my possession a N332 USDM ECU, N318 USDM boost sensor, USDM MAF, a 13BT S4 engine&transmission JDM, Downpipe JDM (no precat), Tii hood, and a Mazdatrix turbo trans to N/A differential driveshaft. Waiting on throttle cable.

I'd like to install the J-spec engine/trans to the US ECU and boost sensor, using my N/A harness currently my 1988 GTU. I've removed and blocked off the ACV air pump, and split air pipe on the Jspec engine. No EGR valve obviously. Also I want to remove and install the engine and the transmission together (still attached to each other).

I'm currently still doing homework on the FEM connectors and reading RX7club guides on engine swapping.

Either using the information I gave, or knowing beforehand what to expect. Can anyone tell me <specific> things I should do to install this set up? Or what major problems or oversights I need to avoid?

The major oversight thing is very important to me, I've been reading and looking under my hood for days now and I've never swapped an engine before.. ever. So I'm worried. I'm going to have some friends help and we'll have our own rotary lift and air tools for <A> day, so I need to get it done fast when I do it.

Any helpful information?

you'll need t2 slave cylinder....... t2 starter........t2 fuel pump(or aftermarket i.e walboro)....... you can put the motor in w/ the trans attached (i actually prefer it that way).... but you have to take the uim and intercooler off to do it.....

the starter came with, and I just installed a new slave cylinder... how important is the fuel pump?? Can I get it later or is it a must? And if I get that new part do I need to replace my fuel filter with one of the high pressure filters I keep hearing about? The one I have on it is new as is.

thanks vipers

i've run my swap with the NA fuel pump but DO NOT suggest it. spend the cash for a fuel pump.

im my eyes, the fuel pump is a must if you want higher boost...... and when i did my swap, i used the same fuel filter that was on the car..... i didnt know there were different ones, but it hasnt failed me yet......... but now i have a reusable core fuel filter w/ AN fittings on each end (for my new motor)

And just to triple check..

there isn't anything while rewiring my car that is easily overlooked, or done incorrectly that would cause catostrauphic damage to the car/engine is there?

*edit* Keeping in mind this is a N/a harness on a US turbo ecu to a JDM engine/tranny
