Pressure plate - cluth bolts lock washers or not??

well when i took it apart it had them, but my dad say they shouldent have them so what is the truth?

I've done a few clutches on RX-7s and they all had lock washer on them when I took them apart, so I use lock washers to put it back together. Can't hurt.

never had any problems using the washers on all the clutches i've swapped.

FYI keep any and all spooge off the clutch friction surface.
