pressure plate bolt

On the NA rx7 there are 2 longer bolt and 4 short bolt for the pressure plate. Which one goes where? Try looking it up but cant find anything. I found a diagram somewhere once but i can't find it now. The flywheel is an aftermarket flywheel cant seem to find where the bolt will go. Thanks

Hmm, when I parted out my s5 I could've sworn they were all the same length. But take a flashlight and look down into the bolt holes on the flywheel one by one. If 2 are deeper than the rest, you will definitely be able to see the difference. The two longer ones will be 180 degrees from each other as well.

There are a couple bolts that are longer...not by much, but they are.
Test fit them in the flywheel before putting the PP on and mark the holes.
If you try to put the long bolt in the shallow hole it will bottom out and the flywheel will be loose there.
You will definitely notice the bolt bottoming out.,so just switch it to another hole. You should be fine that way.
Even if you use 6 of the shorter bolts you will be fine.(if you have a couple extra bolts from a PP hanging around).using all 6 of the same size will alleviate the Big bolt bottoming out Scene..lol!

will the engine still be balance if i make all the bolts the same same size. from what i see and think, i think that it would be best if the bolt are the same size and since the automatic flywheel looks the same all around i figure just the counterweight itself will balance the engine and all i need is the bolt to be the same and the engine will still be balance. correct me if im wrong. any advice

we are talking about SOOO Little weight here that it won't make a difference, and it won't affect the balance of the Flywheel.
Did you read my First response?.,
It is only Six bolts..Stick a Straw in a hole, and mark it with a Felt tip marker. If you find a hole deeper than the other, then Mark it on the Flywheel as DEEP.
It is So simple, and Really you are just making a simple thing all complicated..(wait until you get to the trans/engine bolts.they are Longer/shorter different pitch...I'll save you time on that.Look up 'the master list of Nuts and bolts for an FC" by using the search function.,that thread tells you a lot of Info about the Bolts size and thread, and location).
.so,Just have Fun man.it is not a Major overhaul,it's just a Clutch Change!
