presilencer question

I like the racing beat complete exhaust system... but I would really rather have it without the stupid presilencer... anyone know if they sell a kit that doesnt come with it? or if not do i have to buy the downpipe, y-pipe, mufflers and all that seperate? Couldnt i attach the downpipe to a custom straight pipe or something in place of the pre silencer? thanks guys

Pre silencer/cat bypass combination is expensive, but bolts up great and gives lots of HP, I bit the bullet and did it. Only advantage of trying to make a substitute is cost. Is it worth it in the long run? Thats up to you. I didn't want the extra noise on mine and liked the bolt up convenience. In my opinion, the convenience and extra HP is worth the money, without the hassle of trying to make due with something else.

You can have an exhaust shop make a pipe that goes in place of that, it shouldnt be that expensive but its gonna be loud and it sounds much better with the presilencer in

I don't have a presilencer and my car tends to drone a lot while crusing.

Ditto. Anyone know if putting a cat on would fix that?

I've got RB header, Hi-Flow Cat, and 2 E-bay cannon type mufflers... It's still pretty loud (probably the mufflers) and it tends to drone cruising above 3k RPM.
Never heard it with a presilencer, but I'm thinking it would be about the same.
