i am trying to remove my transmission on my car (auto) to put in a 5 speed. here is the situation: i have the auto tranny off of the engine about 4 inches i gess. and the blasted thing wont come off. i have removed all the lines and wires from it. i have a jack to support it but its only a standard floor jack. im doing all this under the car. any advise or tips or ideas would be awsome

on the auto one there is some bolts on the front of the flywheel that need to be removed. I had the same prolem. Once its pulled out those four inches look into the gap from the engine side facing the rear of the car and you will see what i am talking about

Yeah man, you got those off yet. If those are off, make sure the speedo cable is off, all elctrical conector, Vac lines, shifter linkage rod. etc. The metal vac lines like to get stuck.
