Power Windows 1990 Gtu

I am attempting to convert my GTU to use power windows. I found out after buying the power window motors, switches, and the door panels (which I have already reupholstered in Carbon Fiber Black and Carbon Fiber Red) that the GTU does not have the wiring in the doors to support Power windows. Can someone tell me where I can get the correct harnesses needed to finish my conversion? Also is there anything else needed?

Well thanks for all that responded..lol

I figured it out. Maybe the next person who has this problem will be able to search for the answer.
I bought door wiring harnesses that came from a vehicle with power windows and locks and this solved my issue. I bought the harnesses for 10.00 each from MazParts in Tampa Florida. In summary, to convert a GTU to power windows you need the following.

1. Power window motors
2. Power window switches
3. Door wiring harnesses
4. Door panels from a vehicle with power windows.

yep, that is right.

and you didn't mention it in your second post, but did in the first; you will also need door panels (and of course the inner door handles), as the non power window door panels do not have the correct door handle for the power window switch.

You may also wish to use the search function next time, as this subject has been covered quite a few times before. The search button is located in the upper right hand corner of this page.

In addition as I recall there is a thread on this in the 2nd gen archive.
