power window woes

ok, my passenger side power window wont go up.
i thought it was the swith but thats good, so i swapped in a different motor and it rolled its self down as soon as i plugged it up, so im thinking it has to be some wiring short or something, its geeting a signal to roll down somehow, but i dont know how.
any thoughts

you can eliminate the motor by seeing if it will roll up when putting it to a 12v source, then reversing the polarity and it should go the other way. but, it sounds like you have a short to ground b/t the switch and the motor

ok i used 12 volt source to roll it down at the motor, and removed both switches and plugged the motor up and it rolled back down, so its definatly not the switches or the motor, it has to be in the wiring, where can i look for this? any ideas?

ok, when i tested it i plugged it into the door light plug on accident, so its not some phantom power going on but im re rebuilding the switches so well see what happens.
