Hi guys,

I was following the diagram for the power window relay modification. I placed to relays on each door. The issue I am coming across is that my master switch can only make the passenger window go up but it won't go down. Has anyone come across this issue? Does something need to be grounded or split?

 

was it working before you did the modification? if it goes down it should be able to go up, sounds like you either have the wiring wrong or your switch is kaput.


i sell premade kits for it if you continue having problems, but your wiring is probably hacked to bits now so that won't be of any help anymore.

 

The switch was working prior starting the relay mod.

 

then you botched your wiring job, double check it all.

 

You are missing either ground or 12v on your DOWN relay. 87a of each relay should always be ground. Most likely you don't have 12v at terminal 87 on your down relay. The only other thing would be a bad connection between the switch at terminal 86 of the down relay.

If the relay clicks when you press down on the switch but nothing happens, check voltage at pin 87. If the relay clicks, that rules out a lot of things.
