power window problems

hello all

we have a 1986 RX7 GXL that has some electrical
issues. to make matters worse the mazda dealer
here pretty much told us they have no experiance
with RX 7's and that they "aren't trained to fix it"

anyway the power windows are giving us the problems
the drivers window works intermittantly and the
passenger side goes down with the drivers side switch
but you must put it up with the passengers side switch.

before we just go order a new switch i was wondering
if anyone here had any experiance with this problem
and can suggest what it is

thanks
jordan

thanks for the link to that fix. unfortunately
i am incapable of that fix myself. will a new switch
assy fix this issue or is it likely the window motors?

a new switch will just carbon up over time, which is all that your currnet problem you have now is.
If you cant do the mod, get some one to do it. It should be much cheaper than the cost of a switch. and you wont have trouble with the switches ever again.

you can also get your current switches cleaned wich will fix the problem for now, but as with a new switch they will carbon up over time.
