Question To powdercoat or not? (pics)

So i've been thinking about powdercoating my rims black but keeping the polished lip. I've seen some pics of red FD's with stock rims painted black and I thought it looked great. Long story short, I photoshopped it to see what it'd look like, heh. Here are the before and after pictures, let me know what you think and if it'd look good if I decided to get them done. In the picture where the rims are black with the polished lip, in reality the lip wouldn't be that big, but it was hard to do in PS while still making it look somewhat real. This is just to give me/you an idea, thanks for your input.

mmm....I can dig it man.....I don't think it looks that bad really. I love the look of a red car with black or gunmetal rims. Looks good.

Your choice in the end of course, but I'd say it looks not bad.

Yeah for sure.

Hehe, just read the letter from your neighbours in your sig link. Good stuff man. I had a letter get siliconed to the windshield of my NA once cause my car was so loud. I go to work through a residential area and they put a letter on my window tell me my car is loud etc etc and next time it won't just be silicone. :p Good stuff, keep that NA pride going.

Hahahaha, yah it was hilarious when I got that note on my windshield, it was actually put into a ziploc baggy and put under my wiper arm. Funniest part is that they were too afraid to come and tell me to my face, and I haven't heard word since they put that there. Oh well

Have you considered doing them in White? I think white rims look good on the red FC's, I have white ADRs and I have never heard anyone say it didn't look good.
