Question potential upgrades for stock 89 rx7 ???

i only recently bought a stock 89 gtu rx7. i was looking around on the internet for some potential basic upgrades for the car, but i decided that posting here my provide better results. i'm planning on autocrossing the car so any major modifications like adding a turbo is probably going to be out of the question.

the only upgrades i've done so far is installing a used k&n air filter.

any other suggestions? know of a cheap place to buy them? thanks very much

So many goodies to put on these cars, it's un-freakin-believable. I'd start by dropping in an intake system, then bolting on a catback exhaust system. Lowering the thing would be better, but you'll probably want adjustable shocks for what you're planning on doing. Tires next, etc. The sky's the limit! I would definitely replace the suspension bushings with some polyurethane ones, as I'm planning on doing to my car.

There's some other good ones that will come up if you do a search, but these are like the "main" ones that a lot of people use

header or cat removal pipe is probably the biggest power gain, if you don't have emmissions. autocross, falken azenis sports tires are excellent for autocross.
