Is it possible to put the crank pulley on wrong?
I have everything finally done to start my project. It's finally finished!
BUT... it won't start. I am gettting spark, but I suppose my timing is completely out of whack. Compression is good in the engine, fuel is being injected nicely. So I aligned the crank pulley with the timing marking on it with the timing pin and then aligned the CAS correctly as well. Played and adjusted with it for about 2 hours and still nothing. Every now and then I get a little sputter from the engine, but to no luck has it sputtered enough to even 200rpms! My main question is this:
Is it possible to have put the crank pulley on incorrectly? I ask this because I am basing my timing on the timing markings on the crank pulley. It seems that it only goes on one way. Any other ideas would be helpful.
Thanks, James.

Nope, not really. The bolt holes are all offset differently, so there's only one correct alignment.
Line the pully up with the timing pin, take the cover off the CAS and take and post a picture.
