possible fuel leak

I finished installing my modified fuel rails and lines a few weeks ago and a few days ago i decided to pressure test it one last time before i reinstalled the uim. I found that one injector was leaking where it sealed to the fuel rail, I installed new orings and that solved the problem. Wierd thing is that i can still smell gas fumes in the engine bay even though i can not find any signs of a leak. I check around my brazes and around every fitting and line. Everthing was dry. Any idea what would be causing the smell? The system is a walboro running through the stock feeds to stock filter to a T which goes to the rails each rail goes to its own inlet in my aeromotive a-1000-6 fpr. The return goes through a length of rubber tubing the the stock return line. I want to figure out whats causing this because i do not want to have it turn into a huge fireball especially after the amount of money i have spent.

thanks
lee

Do you still have your charcoal canister hooked up? Some folks report the fuel smell if they let the fuel tank vent to atmosphere rather than to the charcoal can.

i dont have the charcoal canistor. Just searched and thats probably what is doing it. Is there any way short of reinstalling the charcoal canistor to make it not smell? The lline to the charcoal canistor is next to the fuel feed lines correct? The charcoal canistor connects to that line and to the nipple on the oil fill tube correct?

Thanks for all the help
