Lightbulb Possible exchange?

I'm wondering if anyone knows if the FD engine will fit into an FC. My 91 engine is cool, but I'm the fourth owner, and the other three drove the car just as hard as I did. Needless to say, its running a little rough. I have the money to purchase a new engine, but I'm wondering if the FD twin turbo would fit. I'm a huge fan of turbo, HUGE fan, and breezing past all the FF cars I see in a full power exchanged car would be uber cool. I'm also wondering about the rims. I still have the stock ones on, and I ordered some 17's, but I heard that the front is a little cramped. Does any one know if they will fit?

FD engine: NO. try: 13b-t; 13b-re (cosmo)
those are turbo and fit properly. you'd have to research or wait for someone to tell you how much needs to be done. its quite a bit.
17s fit, 18s fit; its all about offset and tire size. its been covered, too. RETed has a site that lists it, but i dont have the link. you could probably search and find the numbers. i wish i had them bookmarked.

Thanks. I'm thinking the wheels wont be as much of a problem, but the $400 sixteens I put on in march cracked and my poor baby has been looking trashy ever since. As for the fd engine, I know I'll have to mess with the tranny to better interpret that power, but thanks for the info.
