possible compression problem?!?!

heres the scoop, ive tried posting this before but got nothing from them. i recently bought an 88 gtu with 80,500 miles on it. the clutch was screwed so i replaced that along with the pressure plate and pilot bearing. the person who had the car before me told the owner that they would pay them and that was the agreement. instead she sabotaged the car by screwing the clutch, breaking the windshield, interior, and possibly the engine. i replaced the spark plugs and wires along with a oil change. the car has a few problems with acceleration and with often die when i shift down or into nuetral. i just found oil in the coolant resevoir. ive heard this means the engine seals are f*cked and ill need a complete rebuild. is this true? ive yet to do a compression test so maybe if that is the problem then i can do the ATF trick as a last resort.

time for a rebuild, oil in the coolant is not good. as for the atf that mostly works for low compression or lightly brittle seals it won't bring them back to life if it'salready that bad
