ported question

I was just wondering if it is normal for a ported rotary to have a lumpy idle. Also I read on a post by irv a while back that he needed to have his timing advanced for his car to run right. Does any one know why, or what The symptoms he was having before the adjustment were.

Yes it's common for a ported engine to have a "cammy" idle. Porting has similar effects to changing the cam in a piston engine.
