Ported engine timing help
I've searched around and come up with nothing as far as an answer or even info to help.
I've recently rebuilt my TII and used pineapple racing mid street port templates (primary and secondary) with enlarged exhaust ports as well. I know from researching that changing your port timing as will cause the idle/ base RPM to rise. The more the port the higher your idle has to be.
Question comes in at the Idle/ engine timing. All info I've found bases the timing off of 750 rpm. Is there a calculation for setting the timing when the motor won't idle below 1000 rpm?
Any info is greatly appreciated. Ill check this page daily and post any more info I am able to dig up.
Thanks again.
