port actuators working?
well, i sepent about 5 hours yesterday freeing up my 5th and 6th port actuators. One was a little stuck, and the other took about 4 hours to get free. I connected a little hand pump made for inflating beach ***** to the rubber hose that goes to the actuator to make sure they where able to move freely. Everything seems to work fine with that, but when the car is running, i dont see them moving no matter what rpm im at. Is their not enough backpressure to operate them when the engine has no load? Can you see them work?
I bought this car not to long ago and the the exaust looks pretty much stock. The guy before me had new mufflers put on, but their not performance mufflers. ther just what the local shop had.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the car has to be under load (ie driving) for the actuators to open!
The best way to test them is to put some white lithium grease (or similar) on the actuating rods. Drive the car.
Then check if the grease has moved, indicating that they are working!

On the series 5 N/A's, the port actuators push to open, and only under high load.
To test them, I teed in a pressure gage and blew into the tube to check at what pressure they opened. Then I routed the tube inside with the gage on the end, and did a test drive to see when they opened.
