So I'm helping my friend get his 89 FC running, i get over there and try to start the car and hear popping noises from the exhaust like a misfire. I automatically knew that was a problem with the spark/timing. His car cranks but will not turn over. Fuel is being delivered, spark is somewhat there. Could a faulty ignition coil be to blame? Any ideas? Thanks

 

Backfire? Mine backfires alot... if its not running though its probubly not.

 

*sigh*

 

Could be flooded if it's not turning over.
