Okay, I keep getting this code with the engine off and the test plug grounded. What else can drive this code besides a TPS. I've tried 4 different ones that all meter within the tolerance on both no throttle and wide open throttle with smooth changes in resistances as the TPS is being moved. Meter readings on the Full Range side (D to E) are 798 idle and 4.2K WOT. The narrow range (A to B ) is 5.1K idle and 920 WOT. All the TPS's I have tried pretty much mirror these readings. I have left the battery disconnected all night to clear the ECU of these codes, but as soon as I turn the ignition switch to on with the test plug grounded, it starts flashing a 12 again. Any thoughts before I start tearing into the engine harness and look for a broken wire. This is on an S5 turbo and when the car is running, I have the dreaded idle jump.

 

Plug connection is likely iffy or the wire at the ECU is pulled back within the plug and not mating well w/the ECU.
