Pop quiz on the FC rear end
Put your fc skills and knowledge to the test and see if you can figure out what's goin on here (because I sure as hell can't)
This is the situation:
1. The car has a turbo motor + TII transmission swapped into it.
2. The transmission has a TII driveshaft attached to it, that also connects to the rear diff.
3. The rear diff is of unknown origin, but has the little white tag on the filler plug.
4. The halfshafts that are connected to the diff are 1990 GXL NA shafts.
5. Everything fits
How is that possible?
Im guessing the diff must be a TII LSD, as it mates to the TII driveshaft. But how is it that the NA half shafts will bolt up to the diff? I thought they were a different bolt pattern!

The NA I took off the car has 8.
The diff on the car has 9.
I think there are more diffs than just the 11 fin and 9 fin
If what you're saying is true, how is the TII shaft mating up with the diff if it's NA.

The amount being taken off is very minimal and its still a lot stronger than an automatic driveshaft. I got the idea from hypertek and there are many others here that have done this too without any negative results

I've seen the driveshaft getting slotted several times. As long as you have someone even moderately skilled at cutting and they measure out their work, their should be no problem.
