Poor mans S-AFC Discoverd?

Couldn't we use the ajustment screw on the AFM, or a variable resistor on its output to make a lump corection to the fuel map? I know it wouldnt be tuneable at differnt rpms like a S-AFC, but alot of people run like a -10 across the board anyhow, we could then use the stock variable resistor (S4) to ajust our idle back into spec.

You can only make the afm think its flowing more air with a simple resistor. As the airflow increases, the voltage at the ecu drops. Adding a resistor will lower the voltage, making the ecu think more air is flowing. You would need an op-amp circuit to increase the voltage, and then, unless youre a bored electrical engineer, youre to a point where its not worth the trouble.

That's an air bypass that's used to calibrate the AFM in the factory. Any changes you make will affect the entire fuel map, meaning you might fix some areas but make some worse. It's very crude and not all that effective.
