Poly Bushings, polished control arms... PICS! :-)
From the time I purchased my car, I've always had a continually worsening "clunk" in my front suspenion. This clunk was generally most noticable when making hard turns or hitting large bumps or dips in the road. The car also had a major tendency to wander and follow ruts in the road. It got to a point where it annoyed me to much to ignore, sometime last week, and I ordered the Energy Suspension Master Kit. (coincidentally, I picked it up from www.lightningmotorsports.com, and they were EXCELLENT to deal with ).
My Initial impressions of the kit were good. It was packaged well, and all the parts seem to be of very high quality. As nearly all of the rubber in the front of my car was trashed, I replaced ALL of the bushings, as well as the tie rod dust cap. (It was pretty... ).
The removal and replacement was a royal pain, but not beyond the capabilities of a good driveway mechanic. I used the big socket/little socket technique, and once I got the hang of it, I could pull a bushing in 5-10 minutes a piece.
The initial drive with the kit installed was AMAZING. The difference is really quite noticable, and as of now I have only installed the front bushings (the rear is getting a TII setup when I finish my motor swap, so I might as well do the bushings then as well). The tendency to wander is greatly reduced, and the vehicle follows ruts much less as well. ALL clunking sounds have also been eliminated. I will warn however, that chassis vibrations are felt much more strongly now (this should really be a no brainer for most people). I fear I need new struts to truly appreciate the improvements the bushings have made. Also of note, is that my impressions are greatly effected by the fact that my original bushings were completely trashed.
While I was down there, I figured I'd de-rust, respray and polish what I could. ON TO THE PICS!!!!

Looks pretty good. Have you found out yet if it offers any cornering improvements? I know you said it eliminated the clunking and wandering, but have you pushed it yet?
What set did you get and about how much did it run you? I have been looking at the Suspension Techniques set for a while now and wondering if it is worth it.

That's what I did, though I used a short section of steel pipe in substitute for the larger socket, and I used a vice to press them together, instead of the large bolt. Basically the same idea though.
I used the Energy Suspenion master kit, and paid about 100 even shipped for it. They had to special order it, but they still got it here in about 6 days, total. They drop shipped it straight from Energy Suspension which was nice.
I haven't really had a chance to push it much, as the roads have been wet/I've had a passenger in the car. I can definitely tell the steering response is substantially better then before, though the final level is yet to be determined. Also worth noting is that I couldn't use the included ball joint cover, as the control arm/knuckle combo on my car is off of an S5, and ball joint layout seems to be a touch different.
