Polishing S5 intake manifold: shave lettering?

This may sound like a dumb question, but is it a good idea to grind off the raised MAZDA 13B INJECTION lettering before I polish my manifold?

It is neither a good idea nor a bad idea. It's personal preference.

Thats alot of work there buddy, especially if you want to keep it perfectly flat after.

I masked it and then painted it, leaving it stock looks great. I think the dynamic chamber is pretty thick tho, so if your worried that you might go through, i wouldnt..

It's not that much work if you have the right tools. I have a drill, a dremel, and a detail sander. The trick is of course reduce the lettering and lines with power tools, being careful to avoid going below the surface.

It's actually pretty easy. The hard part is getting in tight spots!
