Please help a new 89 TII vert owner.

Hi Everybody,

I´ve just bought an 89 TII convertible. So far, I love the car but I would like to have some advise from experienced owners.

My car is fitted with an old Racingbeat (fitted 92) exhaust system and a RB turbo boost controller, which I operate with a **** fitted under the steering wheel. Everything else is stock. BTW. the cat is removed.
Now to the questions:

The car is very fast once I pass approx 50 mph, but feels kind of sluggish at lower speeds.
What you guys suggest to be the next move to make the car a bit more agile? I don´t want to affect the car´s driveability and comfort too much i.e. I´m not trying to make a race car out of it. Is the RB stuff terribly outdated?
How many hp´s does "small" mods like air filters and blow-off valves give?

Any kind of suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Regards
Babu

BTW. Where can one get new rivets for the vert top?

The sluggish feeling should be at low rpms rather than at lower speeds. The nature of the rotary engine is lots of power at high rpms (4-7k) and relativaly little at low rpms (1-3K). The bolt ons help, but the biggest gainer is taking off the cat which you have already done.
